The only way I can function at the gym is with great, fast-paced music. If my iPod dies or I am sick of my playlist, I have a hard time pushing myself cardiovascularly. I guess this is why I spend so much money on new treadmill tunes.

The faster the tempo the faster I can run, which is why I’m excited about runhundred.com, a Web site that lists songs based on their beats. The site sorts songs by BPM (between 116 – 160), by genre, and by decade. You decide how hard you want to work and the software will provide you with tempo-appropriate jams. Needless to say, the music will get you in high gear.

You can preview and purchase songs straight from the site. The fastest song, “Southside” by Lil Wayne and Birdman seems like a must-download. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I’m actually looking forward to intervals tonight.
