setai-spa-jacuzziPerfectly dim lighting, terrycloth and rubber slippers, exotic decor, chocolate truffles that will make you see stars, and attendants that know exactly when to refill your tea or bring you another one of their warm, plush towels… it’s details like these that distinguish a great spa experience from an outstanding spa experience.

The Setai Club & Spa in NYC’s Financial District exudes sophistication and decadence in a way that sends tranquility rushing through your veins the moment you step inside. Maybe because it’s so far downtown, but the treatments and the spa itself leave you feeling a unique, personalized sense of escape. In the midst of the busiest city in the world, The Setai Club gets it right.

Just like in restaurant service, consistency is key. If napkins are re-folded after the appetizers the first time you go and not the 2nd time, there’s something lacking. I’ve been to The Setai twice now, for both their massage and facial, and I have to say that this spa knows how they want their clients to feel during the spa experience, and they deliver it every time.

We’re thrilled to have The Setai Club & Spa as one of our newest members of New York Spa Week. Here’s a glimpse into the spa and my facial. I don’t think I captured quite how royal The Setai made me feel, but at least you get a clear shot up my nose.
