I’m sure you agree….a girl can never have too many shoes. We need the black heels for the business outfit, the brown wedges for the cute skirt, flip flops for our casual beach look, flat sandals with rolled up jeans. I could go on and on but you get the idea. The perfect shoe with the right outfit can make you feel hot, glamorous and ready to make it happen!

There’s another kind of shoe, which on the surface might not seem quite as sexy, that can play an important role in helping you lose weight by accident – I’m talking about sneakers.

If you’re in a bit of a mid-summer exercise slump, splurging on a pair of smokin’ hot sneakers may help put the kick back in your walking or running routine. If you get a cute new pair of kicks, you’re going to want to show those things off and to hit the gym!

Your next pair of sneakers doesn’t have to be drab and dreary. Here are a few tips for choosing sexy AND practical sneakers that will have you running for miles in no time:

Know Your Exercise Type

Do you mostly walk or run? Or, do you love Zumba classes? Knowing what type of exercise you enjoy doing the most will help you zero-in on the perfect pair of shoes for you

 

Get the Right Fit

 

Steer clear of big box stores, clearance racks and trying to find the right pair on your own. Visit your local running or sporting goods store that has experts on hand to fit you with the right shoe for your foot.

Make an Investment

These shoes are your gateway to having more energy, feeling great and losing weight so see them as an investment and buy a really good quality shoe that you totally love. If you go el cheapo and only spend $20, chances are they’ll never get you to the gym.

Snazz ‘Em Up

 

Neon is in ladies! Snazz up your sneaks with a great pair of hot pink or orange laces. They will put a pep in your step and who knows….they might catch someone’s eye the next treadmill over!
