No need to forego the BBQ this summer, just opt for lean meat, pay attention to portions, load up on veggies, and watch the condiments!

Try Keri’s barbecue marinade the next you fire up the grill.

Spicy Marinade (for chicken, fish or tofu)
Ingredients:
3 cups dry white wine
½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon onion powder
½ cup low sodium soy sauce
½ teaspoon garlic powder
Directions
Mix all ingredients together until combined.

Serves: 3 cups of marinade

Keri says, “This is such an easy recipe and only takes five minutes to make, so there is no excuse not to try it. The white wine in this marinade imparts a strong and mellow flavor and it has the great ability to improve your lung’s functions. Cayenne pepper contains a substance called capsaicin which is known for its pain reducing effects and its cardiovascular benefits. It’s also what adds that fiery heat that we all love! Marinate some chicken, fish or tofu; serve it up to all your guests all delicious and barbecue-a-licious. Let them think you slaved, spent hours and took a cooking class!”
