Julien Farel Haircare Zero Frizz Restore promises to kill frizz in its tracks. Does it deliver?

Want to really give an anti-frizz product a run for its money? Try it smack dab in the middle of August and smack dab in the middle of Florida. Since I’ve relocated from the Big Apple, my biggest pain point has been my hair. All I want is nice curls, volume and no fluffiness. But no matter what I seem to do, I’m left with a limp and frizzy mop within 30 minutes of leaving the house.

Yesterday I put Julien Farel’s new product, Julien Farel Haircare Zero Frizz Restore ($33, dermstore.com), to the test. It’s an anti-humidity treatment–just what I needed. I applied it to my dry hair, right on my scalp and around my hairline. I added just enough water for it to emulsify, then massaged it in. I then combed the product through to the ends of my hair. I rinsed it out two minutes later, skipped shampoo and conditioner and got right to styling.

Even as I was brushing my wet hair, I could feel a difference. My wet locks felt stronger and healthier.

After blowing dry and curling and spraying, I promptly headed out into the humidity. Then after a few hours on the patio of my local watering hole, I assessed my locks. They looked great. I had just a few flyaways and all of my perfectly curled tendrils were intact. I was in pure hair heaven!
