When Dylan Brodie invites Lane Bishop to come redecorate his new lodge in Eagle Bay, Alaska, the Beverly Hills-based interior designer isn’t quite sure what to expect. Nevertheless it’s good money and she’s always wanted to see Alaska, so Lane packs up her Irish Wolfhound Finn and heads north for the summer. Dylan doesn’t reveal to Lane until she arrives that he has a daughter, Emily, who hasn’t spoken a word in years, since her mother and Dylan’s ex-wife Mariah abandoned them. They both live at the Eagle Bay Lodge with Winnie, who is Emily’s teacher and cares for the house, and Dylan’s friend/partner Caleb who lives in a separate house on the land. There have always been rumors about why the last owner sold the lodge, but Dylan doesn’t like to indulge them. However, when strange things start happening at Eagle Bay (including strangers lurking on the premises at nighttime), and Lane takes notice, Dylan can no longer ignore the problem. Our story unfolds as Dylan and Lane set off to discover not only what is really going on at Eagle Bay, but how they really feel about one another.
