Crunch Gym’s new Transformer w/ Disq fitness class uses the latest technology to deliver an incredible workout!

We’re always on the hunt for the latest and greatest fitness classes to cover each Wednesday, so when we heard about a new workout inspired by an Olympic speed skater we had to sign up!

Crunch Gym’s new Transformer w/ Disq class is taking the fitness world by storm with a steady stream of front page reviews. And after trying it out for ourselves, we absolutely understand why. The unique, challenging, yet surprisingly bearable workout is unlike any other we’ve experienced, namely because you’re limbs are attached to a high-tech Disq as you perform intervals of squats, jumps, kicks and more.

Clocking in at only 45 minutes long, the Transformer w/ Disq class is wisely designed for those who want a tough and effective workout without putting in hours at the gym (so essentially every fitness-minded female we know). Set to a fast-paced, upbeat soundtrack, the 45-second high-intensity moves are offset by 15-seconds of rests, which is quite the calorie-blasting combination.

The Disq itself attaches at the waist, and is connected to the ankles and arms.  The setup enables an adjustable resistance dial to maximize each exercise. More traditional moves like jumping jacks and squats are made infinitely more grueling with the added resistance, but this simply means that you’re getting more out of your workout.

All in all, this is one of the best fitness classes we’ve experienced in recent weeks. Although the movements are undoubtedly difficult, the interval format makes it much easier to keep up.
