With New York Fashion Week coming to a close, we have seen a ton of hair and makeup looks. From wild and crazy colors to classic pin straight locks, there was a little bit of everything walking down the runway this year. So, what really caught our attention this time around? Two looks that stepped out of the realm of basic, but are just normal enough for everyday wear. That’s right, we’re talking about the earthy-toned makeup at Nicholas K and the beautiful low double knots at Jonathon Simkhai.

Although there were six products used for this gorgeous makeup look, we narrowed it down to our absolute favorite three. Personally, I am a sucker for a gorgeous eyeshadow palette. When I ventured backstage at Nicholas K and saw the makeup artists using Stila’s Eyes are the Window Shadow Palette in Spirit, I immediately knew that this would be one of my favorite looks. With a little bit of shadow swiped around and under the eye, this was one of the most simply stylish appearances of NYFW. Pulled together with a little definition from Stila’s Shape and Shade Custom Contour Duo and topped off with a using one of Stila’s Stay All Day Liquid Lipsticks, we give this whole look a 10/10. This definitely won’t be the last time you’ll be seeing of this trend.

 Jonathan Simkhai

It seems there were a lot of hairstyles that we have seen time and time again strutting down the runway this year. Basic ponytails, bouncy curls, and straight locks are great, but we were looking for something even better. We were on a mission to find a stylish new do that was still achievable for anyone. So, when we spotted TIGI’s US Creative Director, Thomas Osborn, double knotting low ponies, leaving just enough natural movement left in the hair, it was game over. This was instantly our #1 hairdo at NYFW.

To achieve this look, start off with CATWALK by TIGI’s Bodifying Spray to achieve volume and texture. Next, gather hair loosely behind the shoulders, keeping tension light around the ears, and tie it in a loose knot at the nape. Split the pony into two again, and tie another knot. Secure with an elastic and use pins to secure loose hair where desired. Set the look with CATWALK by TIGI’s Work It Hairspray. Prepare yourself to see this look a lot, we will definitely be rocking it all the time.

While scouring backstage after backstage for our favorite hair and makeup looks, we stumbled across a skincare product we couldn’t help but fall in love with. Since models spend the entirety of Fashion Week with makeup being piled on and wiped off over and over again, it’s clear why intense hydration is key when prepping these beauties for the catwalk. However, our average Joe skin is no different. Enter Le Mieux’s Moisture Infusion Mask. With a hyaluronic acid base, vitamin C, and many more awesome ingredients, this mask refreshes and revitalizes skin for a beautifully glowing complexion. We can’t lie, we definitely threw on one of these the morning after an exceptionally late NYFW after-party. The sheet mask bar has officially been raised.
