Detox From the Inside out With These Purifying Products Spa Week Editor All Stories, Beauty, Skin 31 Comments Happy New Year! Are you ready to detox like a boss? Here are all the products you need to start off 2016 completely cleansed, refreshed, and renewed from the inside out. Dirty Lemon Detox $68 for one week detox I’m not someone who has ever tried a detox, but I LOVE me some charcoal so I figured I’d give Dirty Lemon Detox a try. New year, new me. Right? Unphased by the black color of the raw cold-pressed drink infused with activated charcoal, I shook it up and took my first swig. Luckily, it tasted exactly look a fresh glass of cold lemonade, one of my favorites, because I had mentally committed myself to seeing this seven-day detox through. I’m glad I did because the activated charcoal in the drink absorbs thousands of times its own volume in toxins while ginger and dandelion root aid the body’s natural digestive process. Plus, it’s vegan and gluten-free, not that I am, but if you are — bottoms up! This drink is for you too. The $68 Dirty Lemon Detox includes six drinks but lasts one week as there is a rest day. Earth Therapeutics Purifying Body Wash $9.99 This natural pro-organic treatment is specially formulated with natural medicinal bamboo charcoal to help draw out and wash away toxins from your body. Enriched with organic aloe vera and other nourishing botanicals, it revitalizes and conditions skin while leaving it tingly fresh and clean. I’m obsessed with all things charcoal so obviously, this is my go-to body was in the shower. Just knowing it’s washing the toxins of the day away makes me feel warm and fuzzy as I slip into pjs and prep for bed. Earth Therapeutics Purifying Mesh Exfoliator $6.99 This purifying mesh exfoliator is infused with charcoal and it pairs perfectly with my favorite aforementioned detoxifying body wash. This scrub works to gently exfoliate away the outer layers of the skin to unclog pores, while medicinal charcoal enhances the cleansing process by drawing out impurities. Doubling up on the detox on the shower gets two thumbs up from me! AHAVA Purifying Mud Mask $33 As a skincare addict, masks are my jam. I can’t get enough of them. There’s nothing I love more than applying a mask (I use e.l.f.’s Pore Refining Brush and Mask Tool) after a long day at work and just sitting in the quiet of my apartment browsing Instagram and tagging people in silly memes. It’s the perfect way to transition from the hustle and bustle of work to sweatpants and calm. This Purifying Mask from AHAVA is one of my absolute favorites. It’s formulated with a unique blend of purifying Dead Sea mud, minerals, and natural extracts, to deeply clean and detoxifies pores for a fresh, even complexion. Besides giving my skin a nice detox, it also absorbs excess oils as it smoothes and hydrates, leaving my looking fresh and radiant.
