Welcome to Workout Wednesdays! Each Wednesday, we will be providing you with the inside scoop on all things fitness! This week read about how Crunch Fitness listened to their client’s input and created the most amazing classes that will keep you moving and your muscles burning. Tons of gyms offer group classes, but they are usually your run of the mill classes that cause us to wish we were working out solo. This notion was quickly squashed when we took our first Crunch class. Crunch has handcrafted and tailored each of their (countless) classes to meet the needs and real life goals of their clients, which is why we were so excited to take their Ass & Abs class with Vanita Iyer. Now that summer is in full swing, our booty and abs are feeling the pressure to be extra taut, and let us tell you this class is 30-minutes of intensive core and glute sculpting (who says you need an hour to get phenomenal results). Photo via Crunch Fitness What makes Crunch and their classes stand out? Crunch is the only fitness club that offers amazing “one of a kind”, unique classes. Ass & Abs, is just that sort of class, targeting hard to reach, hard to work areas. We make it fun, exciting and challenging. What’s the one thing you always do when planning a class? I always take into consideration the many levels that are in the room. What will the members walk away with? Making them feel at ease and comfortable, so they do return. Photo via Crunch Fitness Describe the atmosphere? Ideal demographic? All levels? The atmosphere is warmth, easy to speak to one another, making sure everyone is working to their expectation. All are welcome, as there are modifications for all fitness levels. What is your ultimate health/fitness tip you swear by? My tip is to give 100% in your workouts. That’s what you come for, whatever level you are, do it, but, with all you’ve got. You walk out happy and pleased with yourself. What is your favorite workout move? My all-time favorite move: jumping jacks. There are no limits to what I can do with it. Taking it up a notch maybe, to jumps, and finally to plyometrics. This involves repeated rapid stretching and contracting of muscles. At the end, muscle power is my reward. I always tell people who are intimidated to take my class to? Take my class, and realize, you CAN do it, and NOT be intimidated. I am there for support and assistance and confirming the hurdle you overcame. When I’m teaching, I’m most impressed by a student who? I am most impressed by a student who performs every move as if no one is watching. A student who brings the spotlight onto them self. A student who walks in with the intention to put in the work and leaves feeling amazing! When I’m feeling unmotivated to work out I? Unmotivated, not a problem. I see my members, and think, they came for me. That alone motivates me to give them 100% of me for the best workout ever!!!
