Relaxing Bath Bombs

Fun and fizzy, bath bombs help create a luxurious and relaxing bath for you to rest, unwind, and clear your mind. Infused with essential oils, bath bombs offer a fresh soothing scent, plus numerous health and skincare benefits. Lavender essential oil, for instance, creates a calming effect while healing dry, chapped skin, as well as cuts and minor burns.

Recipe courtesy of DIY Ready

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup baking soda
  • ½ cup citric acid
  • 1 cup Epsom salts
  • 1 teaspoon water
  • 2 teaspoons essential oil
  • 3 teaspoons olive oil
  • Food coloring (optional)
  • Bath bomb mold

Place all the dry ingredients in a bowl, and use a whisk to mix evenly. In a different container, mix together the liquid ingredients. Add a small amount of the liquid mixture to the dry ingredients and mix thoroughly, until all the liquid has been absorbed. Continue adding small amounts of the liquid mixture until you’ve used it all up.

Now you can add the mixture to the bath bomb mold. Add a little more than what your mold can hold on both sides and press them together until it clips. Once it’s pressed, gently tap the mold with a spoon to loosen your bath bomb. Let it dry for 1-2 days before using.

Tip: Fill your bath bomb with flower petals for the ultimate spa experience.

How to Use: Fill your bathtub with warm water and drop in the bath bomb to enjoy its lovely fragrance and soothing properties.
