We love massages and facials, but for just $50 why not try the more unusual spa treatments that your favorite celebrities love!shutterstock_98469122

It’s everyone’s favorite time of the year again: AKA our Fall 2017 Spa Week Event!  From today until October 16th, you can sign up for $50 treatments at a spa near you (just click here!). And while we all know there’s no shortage of luxurious massages, refreshing facials and pampering pedicures to indulge in during Spa Week, there are also some surprisingly unusual and unique treatments to try from October 16–22.

Read below to see the rest of the hottest treatments going on right now:

1. Wine Not?

News flash: wine isn’t just for drinking.  Whether you’re wanting a body scrub or a facial, you can incorporate your love for vino into your next spa treatment.  A red wine or sparkling rose facial?  A Pinot Noir body polish (while sipping on some Pinot of course)?  The list is endless.

Wine can improve your cardiovascular health, but what positive affects does it have when it’s being applied topically?  With vinotherapy, the residue of the wine are rubbed onto the skin which in turn, slows down aging and gives your body some (much-needed?) exfoliation.  If you choose a wine facial, your pores will thank you for choosing to saturate some red wine into your skin.  Expect to see less inflammation and for your blemishes to calm down.  You’ll look like you age like a bottle of fine wine.

2. Take Me Away

A “stay-cation” for 60 minutes in the fall?  I’ll take it.  What better time of the year to fully pamper yourself with a vacation-inspired treatment such as a lomi lomi massage, Himalayan salt therapy or a Caribbean coffee scrub, than now?  These massages and treatments all have one common purpose: to remove any blockages that are preventing your body’s energy to ~flow~ better.

3. Prenatal Massages

Who said pregnant women can’t receive spa treatments too?  Prenatal massage therapy is in fact encouraged and an essential part of prenatal care.  Not only will you receive amazing benefits, but your little one(s) will too.

No matter how far along you are in your pregnancy, you can attest to being moody and swollen as heck because let’s just say, your hormones and blood circulation are quite out of whack.  A prenatal massage will boost your mood by decreasing the infamous stress hormones, cortisol and norepinephrine, and ease any physical tensions by stimulating your body’s soft tissues.

4. For the Boys

Just how you can watch the football game on Sunday with your hubby, he can now go to the spa with you!  It’s 2017 and the spa industry wants to erase the false notion that men cannot “spa”.  There are plenty of treatments available for the men in your life–be it bearded facials, bearded massages, beer manis and pedis, or sports pedicures.

5. “Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice”

When fall comes around, there isn’t much that isn’t pumpkin spice-flavored.  And to be perfectly honest, many of these products and foods have no business participating in Pumpkin Spice Season.  Like, pumpkin spice beer?  I’ll pass.  Pumpkin Pie Spice Pringles?  Just no.

But what is pumpkin spice that we love are all the pumpkin spice spa treatments you can sign up for this fall.  There are pumpkin facials, body glow scrubs, massages, facial peels and pedicures you can treat yourself to.  Not to mention, the benefits of pumpkin are numerous, including smoothing your skin and increasing the production of collagen. Bye bye, wrinkles!

6. Nothing but Pink

Get “pretty in pink” in October by supporting #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth and treating yourself to a mani/pedi or facial with ingredients like grapefruit, roses and strawberries. Ooh la la!

7. Fermented Beauty

Korean skincare became a huge hit and it’s still a hit for good reason.  This season in the spas you’ll see lots of ingredients like fruits, plants, herbs, and yeast appearing in masks, serums and lotions.  These ingredients are said to be like magic, and you won’t have to worry about any harsh chemicals and ingredients on your skin.

Which one caught your eye most?  Let us know in the comments below and don’t forget to book your next $50 treatment here.
