Here at Spa Week, we focus on relaxing, relieving stress, and staying healthy all year-long. Stress impacts us all– and we all hate feeling overwhelmed. That’s why we’re helping you ease any stress you’re feeling with one of our favorite hobbies: yoga. Yoga can help you relax your mind, improve focus, and it’s a great way to exercise. Here are our 5 favorite yoga poses that help relieve stress and ease your mind:

Child’s pose brings you back to childhood! For this pose, kneel on a yoga mat with your legs together and sit back on your heels. Then tilt forward until your chest is on your thighs. Curl your shoulders forward and breathe!

Corpse pose might not have the best name, but it’s definitely the most relaxing pose. Simply lay flat on your back with your arms at your sides and your palms up. Close your eyes and breathe deeply– you can stay here for as long as you’d like…maybe even nap a little?

For this pose, start on all fours and slowly walk your hands out while lowering your chest to the ground and keeping your hips over your knees. Relax your neck and keep your chest open.

Allow the blood to rush to your head in this one. Bend your knees slightly and hinge forward from your hips– all the way down to your toes. Grab your elbows with the opposite hand and soften your face.

Begin this pose by sitting on the floor with your legs extended. Then bring the soles of your feet together with your knees out to the side, and lay back on the floor. Place one hand on your chest and one on your stomach and feel the rise and fall that comes with each breath.
