Sometimes, we all push a little too hard at the gym. We end our workout feeling both burnt out and happy with what we’ve accomplished. But the next day, we start to feel the dreaded soreness. Everyone’s body needs time to relax and recover. Here are our favorite spa treatments to help your workout recovery. Aromatherapy Massage Any massage is a good one after an intense workout, but we love the way aromatherapy relaxes our body and our sore muscles. Let your massage therapist know which muscles are sore and what exercises you did, so they can cater the massage to you and making your body feel better. Steam Room or Sauna Spending some time in a sauna or a steam room is a great way to relieve tension, soothe sore muscles, and speed up your workout recovery. Sit back, relax, and let the steam soothe your aching muscles. Vichy Shower The Vichy Shower is one of our favorite spa treatments, whether or not we need to recover. Wraps and scrubs treat your skin, but the water can soothe your muscles and help you unwind after an intense workout. Hydrotherapy Hydrotherapy is a spa treatment that’s actually been proven to help the recovery process after a strenuous workout. The “water cure” can help you regain strength in injured muscles, while helping you relax in the water and feel relief from any soreness or pain you’re in. Hydrating Facial A facial might not be the first thing you think of when you think about post-workout spa treatments, but it’s another great treatment. Facials are relaxing, which is what your body really needs after a workout. We recommend a facial focused on hydrating your skin to replenish the nutrients and water you lost during your workout.
