Here are 10 easy ways to focus on wellness during this busy holiday season:

  1. Drink more water.

 

This is the easiest and best way to take care of yourself on a day to day basis. Water is essential for your physical health and drinking plenty of it will give you an extra boost of energy!

 

2. Eat a healthy breakfast.

 

Start your day the right way with a healthy breakfast. Starting your day with a filling healthy meal will help you have more energy and be more productive throughout the day.

 

3. Make a list of action items/things you can get done quickly.

 

If you’re feeling overwhelmed by the length of your to do list during the busy holiday season, it can be hard to be productive at all. Start your day by making a list of all of the things you can get done on your list quickly. Start there – you’ll be amazed at how much you can get done!

 

4. Keep healthy snacks on hand.

 

It can be challenging to focus when your stomach is growling. Keep some healthy snacks at your work-space to munch on throughout the day!

 

5. Don’t sit down all day– take a break!

 

As someone who spends most of her day at a desk, I get how hard it can be to stand up and take a break when you feel like your to do list is so long. But it’s important to stand up and take a break every once in a while, stretch those legs!

 

6. Set a bedtime and stick to it.

 

Remember back in the day when you had a non-negotiable bedtime? It’s time to get back to that. Set a regular bedtime and stick to it– you’ll sleep better and have more energy during the day.

 

7. Make time for a morning workout.

 

I am not a morning person, so forcing myself to get up early to work out is always a challenge. Still, if you’re able to make yourself workout in the morning, do it! Start your day with an endorphin rush and you’ll feel more energetic and motivated throughout the day.

 

8. Take time to organize yourself.

 

We can all feel overwhelmed when we feel like we have a million things to do and no way to get it all done. Take some time to organize yourself and prioritize. You’ll feel better and use your time more productively.

 

9. Meal prep for your week ahead during your day off.

10. Try to get 8 hours of sleep each night!

 

We know – that sounds like a dream come true. And it might be totally unrealistic for some people! But getting those full 8 hours of sleep is crucial for your body and your mind.
