Finding the motivation to workout during the frigid winter months can be a struggle, even for the healthiest among us. We know how hard it can be to stick to your new year’s workout resolutions, especially when it’s cold and windy. Not feeling like going outside for a run or making your way to your local gym for a more intense workout? We’ve rounded up 10 workouts that you can do any time, anywhere. No excuses 2019! Jump Rope Longing for your playground days? All you need for an intense cardio workout is a jump rope and a pair of sneakers. This workout can be modified to be more or less difficult and you can do it for any length of time. Get jumping! 2. Yoga If you get home late from work and don’t want to squeeze in a more intense workout, yoga can be the perfect solution. In addition to being a great strength building workout, it can also increase flexibility and help your body to relax before heading to bed. 3. Zumba/Dancing You don’t have to sign up for a class to get a fun Zumba workout in! There are lots of Zumba videos you can follow online. In the mood for something a little more freestyle? Grab your dancing shoes and get moving! There are no rules when it comes to exercising– just do it. 4. Cardio Exercises Start your day with a quick 20 minute cardio exercise. Mountain climbers, burpees, jumping jacks, and squat jumps are some of our favorite exercises. They’ll increase your heart rate and can be done quickly. 5. Strength Exercises Building strength without weights? Count us in. Alternate between push-ups, planks, squats, bicycle crunches, and bridges to build up strength in your arms, legs, and abs. 6. Run up and down the stairs This one may sound goofy, but it’s an effective way to squeeze a workout into your busy day. Run up and down a few flights of stairs when you have a moment to spare — or when you’re looking to get somewhere quickly. 7. Kickboxing Looking for a new challenge? We love kickboxing as a fun way to get frustration and anger out while exercising. There are lots of great videos online to follow as you start your kickboxing journey. 8. Play a sport Remember back in the day when getting your exercise just meant kicking a ball around or shooting hoops in your driveway? Why isn’t it still that way? Pick your favorite sport and get a group together, or play solo. You’ll have fun and get into shape while doing it! 9. Walk around the neighborhood One of the easiest ways to get your daily dose of exercise in is walking around your neighborhood. Whether it’s during your lunch break, early in the morning, or after you get home, a quick walk is a great way to get in shape and get some fresh air. 10. Circuit training exercises If you’re looking for a trendier way to get in shape, circuit training is for you.
